Kamloops Restaurants: The Best of the Best Casual DiningThere are a lot of great Kamloops Restaurants but in my opinion these are the best of the best in casual dining. These are the places that I go that always have great food, great service, and a little bit of atmosphere to go with it.
Kelly O’Bryan’s Restaurant in Kamloops
One of my personal favorites is Kelly O’Bryan’s. On the 200 block of Victoria Street in Downtown Kamloops, BC – Kelly O’s has great food and a great atmosphere in traditional Irish pub style. There are five Kelly O’Bryan’s locations in British Columbia but the Kamloops location is my favorite. If you go you MUST get pachos with your meal. They’re lattice fries with cheese, chives, and Emerald Isle dipping sauce – yummy!
Kelly O’Bryan’s Restaurant has a huge menu and one of the largest drink menus I’ve ever seen – you’re sure to find something you like!
Earls Restaurant and Bar
Earls is definitely worth mentioning as one of the best Kamloops Restaurants. Earls is located in Sahali right across from Save-On-More grocery store.
With a slightly trendy dinner menu Earls always has some interesting items to try. I think they have hands down the best hot wings in town – they come with a yummy parmesan dip and celery sticks. Their California shrimp brick oven pizza also deserves special mention. Earls Kamloops is a great restaurant in Kamloops for lunch, dinner, or appies and drinks. Earls also has a great outdoor patio:
Peter’s Pasta Italian RestaurantPeter actually owns Peter’s Restaurant – go figure! Peter greets each guest, seats them, and takes their orders. On the 100 block of Victoria Street in downtown Kamloops Peter’s has the best homemade pasta around. This place has character and charm with red checkered tablecloths and Peter’s personal touch.
Peter’s doesn’t take reservations and is usually busy so get there early or be prepared to wait for a few minutes.
Peter’s makes an absolutely fantastic lasagna with béchamel sauce – yummy, and the caesar salad is a great size to share as a starter. My other personal favorite is the seafood combo with shrimp, prawns, and clams served over homemade pasta with a red clam sauce – to die for!
Minos Greek RestaurantAlways great food and great service Minos serves the best Greek food in town. I have never had a bad meal here. George (the owner) takes special pride in making sure every customer is happy.Don’t forget to check out their evening “Ladies” dinner special for a great deal – don’t worry gentlemen you can order it too! My only problem going to Minos is trying to decide what to get!
